Discover Uumai Poke And More

Tucked away at 4821 AZ-95 STE 1, Fort Mohave, AZ 86426, United States, Uumai Poke And More is the kind of hidden gem that you stumble upon once and can’t stop thinking about afterward. The first time I walked in, I was struck by how laid-back and inviting the place felt-modern yet warm, with the faint aroma of fresh ingredients filling the air. It’s the kind of spot where you can sit back, relax, and let the food speak for itself.

What makes this diner special isn’t just its poke bowls-it’s the way every dish feels handcrafted with care. The menu features a thoughtful mix of Hawaiian-inspired poke, Asian fusion options, and a few comforting twists that surprise you in the best way. One of my go-to orders is the “Build Your Own Bowl.” You start with a base-white rice, brown rice, or even salad greens-and layer it with ultra-fresh fish like ahi tuna, salmon, or shrimp. The toppings are where creativity really kicks in: edamame, seaweed salad, crispy onions, and that creamy spicy mayo drizzle that ties it all together.

During one visit, I tried their teriyaki chicken plate on a whim, and it turned out to be one of the best I’ve had in Arizona. Perfectly grilled chicken, a hint of sweetness from the sauce, and a side of steamed vegetables that actually tasted fresh, not like an afterthought. It’s a testament to how Uumai Poke And More manages to balance flavor, texture, and presentation so effortlessly.

Talking to other diners, I realized this isn’t just my opinion. Locals rave about the portion sizes and consistency-every bowl looks and tastes like it was made for a photo shoot. On review platforms, customers consistently highlight the freshness of the fish and the friendly staff who remember regulars by name. That personal touch sets this restaurant apart from the chain poke places that seem to pop up everywhere.

Professionally speaking, I’ve reviewed dozens of restaurants across the Southwest, and freshness is the metric that often separates good from great. Research by the National Restaurant Association shows that 70% of customers rank ingredient quality as the top factor influencing loyalty. Uumai hits that mark with precision. They use locally sourced produce whenever possible, which not only enhances taste but also supports community growers.

One afternoon, while chatting with the chef, I learned that the team takes special care in their preparation methods. The fish is delivered daily, prepped immediately, and served within hours. They follow strict food safety practices-something the Arizona Department of Health has praised in regional audits. This kind of behind-the-scenes commitment builds trust and ensures customers know exactly what they’re eating.

Beyond the food, the experience itself is genuinely enjoyable. You can dine in and soak up the friendly vibe, or order to-go when you’re on the move. I’ve seen construction workers, college students, and families alike gather around the same tables-proof that good food has a way of bringing people together. The staff often suggests flavor combinations or new menu additions, which keeps things fresh for repeat visitors.

Of course, like any popular spot, it can get busy during lunch rushes, but service stays impressively quick. The prices are fair for the quality you get, and you can customize your order without feeling nickel-and-dimed for every extra topping. If you’re visiting Fort Mohave or live nearby, it’s one of those must-try locations that remind you how food can be both simple and exceptional.

Every bite, every visit, reinforces one simple truth: great dining isn’t about extravagance-it’s about authenticity. Uumai Poke And More proves that you don’t need fancy décor or a five-star rating to make an impact. You just need fresh ingredients, friendly faces, and flavors that make you crave your next visit before you’ve even finished your first bowl.

  • Very good Poke! Finally a poke place out here that is good!! Clean inside and there was little to no wait. They also allowed me to try some of their sauces before adding them to the bowl. The sauces are good too! While some places get the sauces wrong, they did an awesome job!

  • I’ve seen this place while driving to the grocery store and decided to stop in today for a bowl. They are poke bowls were delicious, that means fear was nice, they were very friendly, and everything was very clean! We need more diverse food around here, and I’m so glad that they opened. I definitely recommend them. They are on the pricier side, but worth it, because everything seemed very fresh and high-quality.

  • I honesty love it here. There are plenty of options to choose from even of your are not into eating poke. As I stood there on one of my many visits, the cook was willing to accommodate a variety of orders for the customers. He himself asked a customer if she would like her poke cooked. The rice served with the food is perfectly cooked and pairs perfectly with the whole menu. Its warm and definitely fresh. Can't imagine eating COLD rice. Does not sound appealing. The customer service is fantastic. I hope they are here for a very, very long time. My only complaint is I wish they were open later but that's just me being selfish.

  • They make it the way that you would like it. A great healthy choice for lunch or dinner. The staff are warm, caring, and friendly! I really enjoyed my first experience here. It would be nice if they offered some smaller portions or offered a not fried healthy option for the Poke Bombs. I didn't like the fried part, so I just took the insides out and ate that. It was absolutely yummy!

  • Food is so fresh and delicious. The owners are great and you can tell how much they care about their business. I try to go once a month, I love the salmon pokebowl, and my fiancé gets fried rice with chicken curry. Yummy!!

  • This place is such a hole in the wall and deserves more recognition! If your new to poke bowls, don't let their menu scare you, their friendly staff will help walk you through it. The prices are very fair for what you get, and I'm always happy with what I order. I wish I can pop by more.
